The Compassionate Friends is a national self-help organization offering friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents.
We are one of over 625 chapters in the United States. Our group has grown considerably since its inception in 1988.
We are taking this opportunity to introduce ourselves and our chapter.
We are deeply sorry for the death of your child or children. At TCF we are all bereaved parents. Some who are further along, return
to the monthly meetings to help the newly bereaved or, come to speak their child's name and refresh a memory among those who truly
understand. We want to provide a place to heal, to grow, and to "become" again. A place to learn about grief and its repercussions.
A place to be accepted and understood. Compassionate Friends will be here for as long as you need us. We take the word
"compassionate" and "friends" seriously.
At your first meeting, we ask that you fill out a new member information sheet, listing your name, address, telephone number, child's name,
birth and death dates. We use this information to mail out a monthly newsletter.
